Design of Home Automation System with Emergency Control
Journal of Scientific Research, Vol. 16 No. 1 (2024)
Abstract: This paper describes the proposed design of a Node MCU-based Home Automation system with an integrated Wi-Fi module enabling remote control via the internet. The system utilizes a Tasmota Web interface, supports Alexa integration, includes manual control for offline scenarios, and features emergency overrides. It demonstrates reduced electricity consumption using locally sourced components, enhancing affordability and accessibility of smart home solutions.
Transforming Conventional Switching Systems to Cost-Effective, Adaptable, Energy-Efficient Smart Switching Systems
Journal of Scientific Research, Vol. 15 No. 1 (2023)
Abstract: This work presents a smart automation system for low-usage areas like staircases and parking, replacing manual switches with PIR sensor-based intelligent switching. It achieves up to 33% energy savings, with a focus on affordability and ease of implementation using low-cost equipment. The system aims to improve energy efficiency, reduce grid load, and promote sustainable technology adoption.
